The new (to me) Bat for Lashes CD has completely captured me. What a developmental leap for the singer, Natasha Khan: this album is so clearly a next-stage for her, she sounds so much more grown up. The soul of the cd just pours onto one as he listens. Give it a gander.

I've been really, really enjoying some new (to me) music lately. Hopefully there'll be a post about that soon. I have to say that I really miss the old Muxtape because that made music posts a lot easier. Sigh.

In the meantime, I had to share my latest crazy-crazy import to my computer from disc music obsession: The Massive Attack "Singles 90/98" box set. It's probably eating away at my hard-drive space but it's worth it! Worth it, I tell you!

A weekend of magic

I think it's safe to say that the 16th Street Station in San Francisco is one of the fugliest BART stations in the network; however, one of the highlights of my FABULOUS weekend was snapping this shot during our wait for the train to Berkeley in said station.

Also this weekend I came across this wonderful troupe of street performers in front of Cliff's Variety in the Castro District. Here is one of their songs.

Finally, I highly recommend scoping out the margaritas at Velvet Cantina. The bartenders alone are worth the visit.
