Posterous theme by Cory Watilo

Remember when blogging was fun (and a capital B)?

I recently made a comment via Twitter to @sfist regarding the (ir)regularity of their posts and received a highly personal and offensive direct reply. Thanks, Brock. Granted, I wasn't exactly the most regular posting person; however, I still had faith in the non-commercial blogger/tweeter.

I wonder, though, what the value of non-commercial and non-Facebook (syndicated) blogging is now. Has blogging (formerly an ability for folks to write thoughts that would otherwise be stagnant) become nothing more but a channel for commercial or, gasp, mediocre opinion perpetuation? Do we care?

It's official! Yay

Alright. The DNS settings have been modified. urbanesque.org now officially lives on posterous. What's even cooler is that the other day I sent an email to the feedback email address and got a personal response from the team addressing my suggestions and questions. I'm really loving this and am optimistic it gets me going on the ol' blogging band-wagon again.

From the posterous team:

Believe me, we're hard and working and getting better everyday

Yay! Super stoked to be along for the ride.
